Using cutting edge vector and parallel code, Codex is taking software optimization to new levels, increasing software performance in orders of magnitude (quite like using rocket fuel in your SUV !)

Software

  • libfreevec: a free (LGPL) library with hand-optimized replacement routines for GLIBC, such as memcpy(), strlen(), etc. These routines have been written specifically to take advantage of the AltiVec unit (a.k.a Velocity Engine or VMX).
  • benchsuite: a free (GPL) set of testing/benchmarking routines. used in the development of libfreevec.

Infrastructure

  • CHS Nafplio Network Infrastructure : We have setup and support the Network Infrastructure in Harvard University’s Center for Hellenic Studies (CHS), in Nafplion
